Maximize the use of your Fitbit at ONYX.

Do you own a Fitbit?  If so, then this article is for you and will help you maximize your ONYX workout with Fitbit!  This sheds light on tips and tricks that your Fitbit device offers and the features that it has that can be used in the gym.  Check out the steps below to maximize your workout!  

Before you head to your local ONYX gym, be prepared – make sure that your Fitbit is charged, you have your water bottle, any post workout nutrition and your cellphone. 

POWER-UP YOUR DEVICE TO POWER THROUGH YOUR WORKOUT

With a battery life of several days, forgetting to charge your Fitbit device is easy. Remember to give your device a quick charge so it can track even your longest ONYX gym session.  

ADD YOUR FAVORITE ONYX EXERCISES TO FITBIT

On select Fitbit devices, you can customize the exercise app to show only the workouts that interest you. Keep the treadmill exercise if you use it.

After you update the Exercise app on your device, you’re ready to work out! Don’t forget to start the exercise before you start working out.

MOTIVATIONAL MUSIC FROM YOUR WRIST

Give your workout an extra boost with the right playlist. Control music playing on your phone with select Fitbit devices.

If you don’t want to keep track of your phone at ONYX, you can also listen to music stored on your Fitbit.

Crank up the music volume to match your workout intensity. and be sure to invest in a pair of bluetooth headphones, so you can listen to music stored on your device and go hands free – allowing you to workout to the maximum.

PEAK HEART-RATE TRACKING

Maybe you want to target your workout for fat-burning or cardio training, or see how many minutes you spend in your peak heart-rate zone during spin class. Check your heart rate while you sweat to see how hard you’re working.

H.I.I.T YOUR GOALS WITH FITBIT’s INTERVAL TIMER

If you need a quick workout but want to burn maximum calories, use your device to track a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout.   ONYX offers a wide array of equipment that provides you with H.I.I.T training opportunities.
